Insh'Allah this conference will be a motivation and a reminder 4other muslims whch will be very beneficial...

Hopefully it will not be the usual 'the black flag will fly over 10 downing street', too repetitive, and hopefully its not going to highlight that shariah is the way forward to release the captives, if that is the case then the job of releasing the captives is postponed until the shariah is implemented.
It's all fancy talking about the incident of Hakam bin Hisham etc...its just become a mere fairy tale story for all of us.

Alhamdulilah, should be a good conference. Too many muslims doing nothing what so ever, yet they have time to blame those that do. The shariah is the solution to release the captives. Where besides the Shariah are you going to find a solution. The absence of Shariah is the very reason why these disbelievers are able to kidnapp our brothers and sisters with impunity.

Stories as such like Affia Siddiq's should motivate the belivers to work to see Allah's deen implemented so inshaallah we can respond like Hakam bin Hisham when one of our sisters are taken.

insha allah we will see the flag flying over 10 downing street. It is the dream of every true mu'min. under the shariah there wouldnt be any muslim captives anyway. i dont see anyone else doing anything that is based on the qur'an and sunnah to release the muslim captives.i see a bunch of people associating themselves with organisations who believe that democracy is the way forward and speaking about the abuse that is happening in prisons...they provide no islamic solution.

The story of Hakam bin Hisham was not a children’s tale about magical and imaginary beings and lands. Nor was it an untrue account. So do not belittle the narrative as a mere "fairy-tale".

I agree with Ahmed when he said that there are too many Muslims doing nothing whatsoever, yet still have time to criticize those who are active. The only time these people seem to leave their house is when taking a trip to MFI to buy an armchair right before stopping off at B&Q to buy some glue, so they can stick themselves to their armchair when opening their mouths patronising active brothers and sisters. These armchair critics really need to take a long hard look in the mirror and ask themselves what they are doing to help, or at least highlight the plight of the Muslim prisoners all over the globe. Until they can answer something, they should stop playing the role of the pot calling the kettle black.

As for sardonically referring to our longing for the day when the flag of Islaam will rise over 10 Downing Street; does anybody else find it ironical how this same person comments degradingly on our effort to highlight the plight of the Muslim prisoners as being pointless, while at the same time mocking the thirst for Izzharudeen?

As far as I'm concerned; if this conference inspires only one person to start engaging in any effective (i.e. not uselessly opt to be the uncle Toms of tyrannical democracy) activity in support or help of the Muslim prisoners, then it will have been 100% worthwhile.

Abu...so enlighten all of us, how do u propose to bring back the Shariah. And the plight of the prisoners...what do you provide as the solution?

I agree with Abu to an extent, he does make a valid point. The majority of conferences by alm are all the same. All you seem to learn is that one day the black flag of islam will be on top of the downing street.

The brothers should consider changing the styles and means.

Dont get me wrong, I am not trying to degrade the brothers in anyway.

I know some of you guys want to say it. Jihad Fe Sabililah And it is the only way to implement the Shariah.

Do i disagree with the method of establishing the Shari'ah in the UK? perhaps not, but does the method of establishing the shariah in the UK have a correlation with releasing the captives abroad? Maybe after the Shariah is implemented, the khaliph will send an army to release the captives, but as for right now, if the Shari'ah is not implemented does that postpone the Ummah from releasing the Captives?
What is our responsibility towards the captives in Belmarsh, Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo bay? Providing for their family? Yes i agree, but what about the captives themselves? Just because we are calling for the Shari'ah in the UK it does not make us immune from engaging in the action of releasing the Captives.
We are in an emergency situation whereby we need emergency fiqh.
