This procession has been organised by sincere Muslims to fulfill the command of Allah (SWT) where He says in the Qur'an,
[EMQ 3:104] "Let there rise from among you a group of people calling to the khair (Islam), enjoining good and forbidding evil..."
Indeed, openly calling to Islam in the public arena is a noble obligation and unfortunately neglected by much of the Ummah today. It is a well known fact in Islam that in Makkah during the life time of the final messenger Muhammad (SAW), Hamza (RA) and Umar (RA) led two lines of sahabah calling the mushrikeen of the Quraish to submit to Allah (SWT) and to abandon their corrupted ways. 1400 years on, we find ourselves in a similar situation here in Britain, with non-Muslims (mushrikeen) surrounding us. Is it not about time that we fulfilled the sunnah of the Prophet and his companions?
