It has been confirmed that there was no sighting of the moon on the night of Saturday, 30th Ramadhan 2008 and consequently the first day of Ramadhan will be on Monday, 1st September 2008.
Remember to make your niyyah to fast from fajr to maghrib, the night before the day commences, and to delay the suhoor and hurry the iftar. For more information refer to the Fiqh ul Ramadhan article.
